I have a passion for the outdoors which stems from my childhood growing up on the South Coast and within a short distance of The New Forest.
Growing up in Dorset has allowed me to experience exploration both locally and further afield and develop a love for adventurous activities. Bouldering and documenting my friends in a way that makes them look like professional athletes is one of my favourite things.
I had been heavily invested in my photographic progression for several years before finding the subjects I truly felt drawn towards; these are the things I enjoyed most about my childhood, a sense of adventure through exploration and just hanging out with friends having a good time whilst doing something cool (and potentially “stupid”). It is this feeling of childhood wonder through an adults perspective which I strive to capture whenever I go out.
My portfolio isn’t just a collection of some of my “best” images; it’s a love letter of sorts to some of the most important people and things in my life. Without them I wouldn’t only have nothing to shoot, I’d have no one to share these good times with.
My love for the outdoors extends to many different ways of experiencing this amazing planet; other than climbing, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking in some of the remotest locations and getting in the water any chance I can find.
